Testimonial FromVictoria Lofaso:

Why do I take Zumba classes? It would be impossible for me to pick out one reason for attending your amazing Zumba Gold Classes. They are absolutely terrific on so many levels.

First, of course, is the music. Your choice of songs instantly raises the spirit and makes you feel like moving whether you like to dance or not. Who could possibly sit still to “Thriller”?

Next are the exercises you have designed set to this inspiring music. You never feel as though you are exercising, (which I personally do not like to do ) but rather having a good time dancing! Here I am having all this fun, and without even realizing it, I am improving my physical and mental health at the same time. This happy attitude spills over into other areas of my life and has lead me to change some of my “not so healthy” choices.

However, the main ingredient of my enjoyment of Zumba is YOU!! All Zumba Classes are not alike. Your classes are so successful because of what you bring to them. You are the glue that makes the whole experience so fantastic. Your magnetic charm, personality and demeanor touches all who attend. This is evident by the smiles on everyones faces. No matter how I may feel when I enter your class, I always leave feeling so much happier. It is just great fun and I look forward to the next session. That is why I follow you from Senior Center to Senior Center. You make me feel beautiful!

According to the Keiser Institute on Aging:

This year in 2010, people aged 55-74 will outnumber 25-34 year olds by 18 million!  Baby boomers (those born 1946-1964) started turning 50 eight years ago, at a rate of one every 8 seconds, around the world. In the USA, the rate is 11,000 per day and it will continue to do so for the next 10 years. As we age, change takes place in our bodies. Changes can occur in blood pressure, blood sugar, bone density, muscle mass, body fat and strength. What we do to offset the changes is up to us. Doctors and nutritionists advise us to stay active, eat healthy, and think positively. An easy way to follow their advice is by taking dance classes which help us in all three areas.

Zumba Gold:

A series of fitness program designed to take the exciting Latin and international dance rhythms  to the Active Adults and Seniors.

A fun Latin inspired dance program includes Merengue, Salsa, Cha Cha , Cumbia, hip-hop, twist and  Belly Dance.

Creates a party like atmosphere.

Great for the Mind , Body and Soul with this expanding active older adult population.

Zumba Gold is the beginner’s level of aerobic dance which breaks down the intricate step-work of Zumba Basic. It’s perfect for anyone just starting out in Zumba fitness!

The Zumba Gold program improves balance, flexibility and cardiovascular strength with its unique program. Zumba Gold was designed to teach the basic dance steps to anyone, even those requiring chairs or wheel chairs. Zumba Gold provides an appropriate workout for the sedentary population. Feeling the music is the first and most important step to learning Zumba. Feeling the music happens when one suddenly forgets she’s dancing in a class and the music is the reason to move with joy.
